FICOBank Solano Inaugurates Its New Banking Office

FICOBank Solano inaugurated its new banking office at the Alvarez Bldg., corner Burgos and Luna Sts., Quirino, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya on February 8, 2018. The event was graced by a number of valued clients of the Branch, officers and staff of the Bank, officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Solano, guests from other banks, and visitors from ABS-CBN Cagayan Valley and DWRV Radio Station.

At nine o’clock in the morning, the blessing-and-dedication rites of the new FICOBank Solano office started. Fr. Evidi L. Awidan, the Assistant Parish Priest of the Solano Catholic Church, took charge of the ceremonial activity. This was immediately followed by the traditional ribbon-cutting and pouring of rice and coins in every corner of the office, as an auspicious symbol and act to attract good fortune. Meanwhile, the municipality’s profile and its recent developments were shared by Dr. Marlene M. Obedoza, the Head of the Human Resource & Administration Department of FICOBank, for the information of everyone in attendance.

The Bank’s President & CEO, Atty. Hubert E. Molina, lightened up the air with his simple opening remarks. He expressed his profound gratitude to the LGU for giving FICOBank the opportunity to serve the residents of Solano. He narrated the humble beginnings of the Bank, and how it eventually evolved to what it is today. He also highlighted the long-term plan of the Bank, where it is envisioned to cover the entire length of the archipelago—from Aparri down to Jolo—in the years to come. In addition, he was pleased to announce that FICOBank ranked as the third biggest bank among its peers, the 500 rural and cooperative banks nationwide.

Through her inspirational message, Mayor Eufemia A. Dacayo of Solano (Nueva Vizcaya) stressed her commitment to serving the people of the municipality. With open arms, she welcomes those who seek business opportunities in their locality, like FICOBank. She said that FICOBank was right in choosing Solano as one of the host towns for its numerous banking units, as the businesses in this first-class municipality always succeed. She ended her message by imparting her expectation for the Bank to provide the farmers with financial assistance, which has lower interest rate. As to his response, Atty. Estalker A. Argonza, member of the Board of Directors, expressed his sincerest appreciation for the never-fading support of the LGU of Solano to FICOBank, as well as the ever-growing patronage of the townsfolk to its banking services.

The Branch Manager of FICOBank Solano, Mr. Jayson R. Claro, proudly introduced his staff to the audience and acknowledged the laudable support of the officers of the Bank, officials of the host LGU and distinguished guests for making the said event a successful one.

The new banking office of Solano Branch will surely give the Bank a more-appealing image; thus, attracting and keeping more clients that will eventually lead to a greater market share.
