FICOBank Alicia Tops the Annual Performance Ranking

Benchmarking from its 2009’s standing, as the Second Best Performing Branch, FICOBank Alicia raised its bar to excellence, making it the Bank’s Top Performing Branch in 2010.

After having ranked second in 2009, the branch team doubled its production efforts in generating more loan volume, ADB-based deposits, preferred shares and net income. Not only that, the management and loan staff of FICOBank Alicia made sure that the branch has superior portfolio quality, with negligible amount of toxic loans. The branch personnel also remained tenacious in complying with the policies and regulations of the Bank. Through its team’s strong determination and terrific efforts, with the end in mind of breaking its previous operational outputs and performance rating, the Alicia Branch stood out among the rest in clinching the overall best performance in 2010.

In a performance evaluation conducted by the Bank’s Internal Audit Department, FICOBank Alicia managed to surpass all of its targets in the five-pronged key result areas for CY 2010 and bested the other 17 branches, both in quantitative and qualitative aspects of evaluation, with an overall performance rating of 119.18%.

The 2010 Top Performing Branch is headed by its smart and virtuoso performer manager, Ms. Ma. Pilar C. Atienza, who could expertly blends aggressiveness and cautiousness in banking operation. Prior to her 2010’s Best Performing Branch Manager Award, BM Atienza has been adjudged as one of the Top Performing Managers of the Bank in 2003, 2006 and 2009. Without an iota of doubt, she has come a long way since joining FICOBank in 2000. From the time she assumed the post as branch’s head, FICOBank Alicia continues to maintain the “one-to-watch-for” accolade, being always one of the three best performers. Today, it is the “one-to-beat” branch in terms of operational accomplishments and performance rating.

Meanwhile, FICOBank Roxas got the second place, with an overall performance rating of 116.08%. Although it slipped one rung lower from what it was for nine years since 2001, the branch’s performance is still at its peak, as it maintains its streak as the highest contributor to the Bank’s aggregate net income. Mr. Jimmy R. Parongan took the steerage of the operation of FICOBank Roxas after its erstwhile head assumed higher position in the Bank’s organizational hierarchy since the second quarter of 2010. For the record, it was also BM Parongan who led FICOBank Maddela to its success in 2008, when it placed second to Roxas Branch in that year’s performance evaluation.

Rounding up the top three best performers is a neophyte in the elite circle of achievers—FICOBank Aparri. It garnered an overall performance rating of 110.37%, with zero past due rate. This remarkable feat was made possible through the leadership of the newly-appointed branch head, Ms. Benilda R. Labauza, and the support of the branch staff.

The annual performance evaluation is a corporate tradition that is practiced ad infinitum by the Bank to rank the accomplishments of the branches and to bestow honors upon the “cream of the crop.”
